I’m formally educated — a scholarship award-winning honours graduate of University College’s English and Drama program U of T. I also studied public relations at Toronto’s Ryerson University and radio broadcasting at Humber College. My first communications job was editorial assistant at the prestigious CBC National Newsroom in Toronto, where I “ran scripts” to Mansbridge, closed captioned, and wrote news stories. Other early jobs included promoting Canadian magazines at the Canadian Magazine Publishers Association and managing marketing communications for travel companies like Nordic Tours and Holiday House.
